Northern Lights Chase & Grøtfjord Camp Experience

From the moment you step into our cosy minibus, you’ll be travelling with a local guide who knows these valleys and fjords by heart and loves sharing stories about life in the Arctic. We keep our groups small (maximum 16 guests) to ensure personal attention, space to relax, and help with your camera when the aurora appears.

Instead of stopping at crowded viewpoints, we head to our private campsite in beautiful Grøtfjord, far from city lights. There you can wander freely, enjoy organic hot chocolate or herbal tea by the fire, and taste traditional snacks and a hearty meal made from local ingredients. Warm thermal suits, sturdy boots, and a sheltered area with toilet keep you comfortable throughout the evening.

If the skies look clearer elsewhere, your guide will use local knowledge to chase the aurora — across mountain passes or inland toward Finnish skies. Along the way, you’ll hear local stories, learn how to capture the perfect photo, and take home memories and images to treasure. And if the lights don’t appear, we’ll invite you back on another night at a reduced rate — because everyone deserves their moment under Norway’s Arctic sky.
